Chapter 7 Charity's Lessons
The first universe to exist is the one Ralph calls Thoughtspace. This universe has existed for all eternity and will exist eternally. It contains untold amounts of energy of all kinds, some of which The Creator used to create the second universe, that which one Ralph calls Physicalspace. Whereas Thoughtspace does not contain time or distance, Physicalspace does. It is the world which you humans consider the only real one, but that is an erroneous belief. One purpose of bringing an end to the Great Deception is to reacquaint you humans with the fact that both Physicalspace and Thoughtspace coexist, as was known to the shamans. The shamans were the humans in the tribes who were aware of how to have a foot in both universes, as you say. Imagination Once The Creator placed humans on Earth in Physicalspace, they began to think and imagine. Charity teaches that there have been two sequential types of humans here, beginning with what she calls "hairy humans." These were followed by "nonhairy humans," the present type. It was this latter group, who had progressed beyond the basic needs to survive in the physical world, who were endowed by The Creator with the ability to imagine into existence that which did not exist before. Thus they were able to plan and prepare for a future, a future which they could mold and devise to suit their needs and desires. Eventually, the ability to imagine became the greatest power of the human mind. It is a shame that when children imagine, their parents tend to say, "This is not real. It is only your imagination." Such should not be the negative evaluation of the ability to imagine, as it is the most powerful force of the human mind. There are two types of imagination — inspirational imagination and emotional imagination. The Personality uses inspirational imagination when he mobilizes the talents of his Essence to access the Akashic Records and find those inventions and art works which that Personality then can bring into reality in Physicalspace. In this way, talented humans create great novels, paintings, symphonies and inventions. Emotional imagination is a function only of the Personalty, with the Essence standing by to see what happens next. A third of all children use this talent to create imaginary playmates of all varieties for many different reasons. They are made to meet a temporary need of the child, not for any social benefit. Unfortunately, the products of emotional imagination may stay around for a long t
Example When Ralph visited Orlando, Florida, he toured Disneyworld. He rode the trolley through a building called Human Imagination, sponsored by Kodak. Demons and devils glared at him at the start of the ride, and winged female angels bid him farewell at the end of the ride. Every other possible type of imaginary creation was represented between these two extremes. The millionaires in the entertainment industry have profited greatly by their use of such imaginary creatures in their stories, so the subject is most important in your human culture. ****** Charity's message is clear that the residents of this Interface World of Human Imagination are not the same as the residents of Thoughtspace. The residents of Thoughtspace are independent of the belief systems of humans in Physicalspace. The residents of this Interface World of Human Imagination are completely dependent for their very existence on the belief systems of humans in Physicalspace. Thoughtforms One way you humans create the residents of this Interface World of Human Imagination is by making thoughtforms. These are collections of emotions and thoughts which a human Personality makes while alive, but they can exist long after that human has ceased to exist. One type is the ghost which inhabits a place where someone long ago suddenly ceased to exist. The ghost is of that person, at that age, in that type of clothing, talking only about the circumstances that led to her death. Ralph has repeatedly met in his patients with MPD a type of thoughtform which he calls an Internalized Imaginary Companion or IIC. When he meets one of these, the ISH of the patient may tell him, "It is nothing but anger." That has been his clue that it can and should be expelled from that human by an exorcism. This need not be a religious ceremony, but it has traditionally been seen as one, as it involves calling into action the highest spiritual authority considered real by the patient. Actually, the CIE and The Creator are the actors in this drama, which takes advantage of the existence of a psychic sewer system in Thoughtspace. Such a thoughtform is made by the emotional imagination of the patient, and now it is no longer of any use to that patient. It must be destroyed. The purpose of exorcism is to send that negative thought energy into the psychic sewer system to be recycled into useful psychic energy. Energy cannot be destroyed, but it can be converted into a more useful type of energy and then made available for other human uses. I was born and raised in the Roman culture, centuries before Jesus was born in Bethlehem. Therefore, I was taught by our priests that there were gods and goddesses whom we must worship and fear, for they could exact tribute from us humans who disrespected them. Great families of these Roman gods and goddesses were described to me in my childhood, families which would be considered dysfunctional by your current standards of normalcy. Now I know that these dysfunctional families of gods and goddesses were the products of the emotional imagination of those who had come before me, and they were now residents of this Interface World of Human Imagination. They must have served certain needs of the Roman culture, so they were taught to the children, who came to believe them. They then added strength to these gods and goddesses we thought were real and influential on us Roman citizens. All tribes of humans went through the same process, with early humans creating, with their emotional imagination, one or more tribal gods for each tribe. Each tribal god was attributed with certain likes and dislikes, and that tribe had to conform to the desires of its particular god(s) to
survive. But each tribal god had a different set of expectations from the god of the neighboring tribe. Each and every one of those tribal gods were located in this Interface World of Human Imagination, not in Thoughtspace, where only The Creator is master of all He has created. The Creator has only Agape Love for all He has ever created. This is quite a different view of the spiritual leader of the universe from that proposed to tribes over the past centuries. Religions in General Charity teaches that The Creator did not create religions. They were created by humans and have been administered by bishops and preachers for the purpose of controlling other humans, the parishioners. All religions which teach their view of the proper relationship between humans and that religion's god are referring to a god-figure in the Interface World of Human Imagination. They teach that their god has human characteristics, a process called anthropomorphizing. Yet, while they may act and look like humans, these gods are given superhuman powers and abilities no human has. Your movies of heroes who singlehandedly save the world from destruction show much the same characteristics, unrealistic portrayals of the solo men or women whom bullets do not kill and who can always stop the bomb just before the clock mechanism will cause it to blow up the entire globe. In the movies, we know that it is the imagination of the script writers which produces such unrealistic scenes. But you humans have been led to believe by preachers that the same power is in the hands of angry gods, and infidel nonbelievers are his targets. Therefore you are exhorted to take hostile actions against your fellow humans in the name of those gods, gods who hate without reason. The only reason needed to ensure someone's destruction is his failure to believe in the existence of those very same gods. Those humans who have studied the terrorists among you do not find any religion to be missing such misguided humans. All religions seem to be able to encourage and support those who feel that those who do not believe in the same way as they do are appropriate targets for destruction. Charity has made it clear that Buddhism is not considered by the CIE to be a religion, but a philosophy. So no comments made about members of religions in general apply to Buddhists. The residents of Thoughtspace view humans with bliss, when they are doing well, or with attentiveness, when they are not, as they cannot have rage and revenge feelings, or any other feelings, which are so often attributed to gods of all religions. The CIE and The Creator also have given humans the ability, when emotional, to exercise their Free Well To Mess Up, which means taking actions which ignore their Life Plans. The Creator expects that to happen, as that is the way He designed humans to learn — by trial and error. If He set it up that way, how can He condemn those humans who use those abilities? The CIE can always interfere and stop any action which will cause unacceptable destruction. No human is more powerful than the CIE. Ralph was born in the Philippine Islands where his parents were missionaries for the Presbyterian Church. He inherited his father's writings and read much of what his father wrote during his mission there. He found his father thought that the natives' souls were in danger of suffering great harm if they were not converted to his particular version of Christianity. He considered all such persons "heathens," and that derogatory label included Roman Catholics (called Romanists), Hindus, Muslims, and others belonging to ancient Eastern religions. Ralph could never understand just what this harm might be. He read these reports after treating many patients with dissociated souls (Essences), and he never found them to be suffering from any ailment regardless of the religion the patients practiced.
Example Patsy [not her true name], one of his patients with MPD, was raised in a Protestant Christian Fundamentalist family. During treatment she discovered that her mother had been born into a Jewish family. Since Judaism decrees that the child's religious affiliation is that of the mother, Patsy then considered herself a Jew and no longer a Christian. She then looked for a synagogue where she could worship with fellow Jews. Ralph interviewed her dissociated Essence/ISH about this situation, and she assured him that no ISH is interested in one religion or another. Only the Personality was interested in which religion she followed. It mattered not to the Essence/ISH. As far as the Essence/ISH was concerned, her charge was doing the right thing for herself by identifying herself as a Jew, as that was what she needed to do at this time. So it seemed, from that conversation, that belonging to the "wrong religion" really was not the hazard to the soul (Essence/ISH) which Ralph's father considered it to be. A certain religious belief may be important to the Personality of the human, but her Essence is not the believer. She knows the truth of those matters through her daily consultations with her supervisory CIE. Christianity in Particular Since Ralph was raised by a Presbyterian minister and his wife, he and Charity have had many discussions about Christianity. He studied medicine and psychiatry, so he has not been schooled in all the literature of that religion. As a boy, when he was expected to join the Presbyterian church, he read the script of the oath he was expected to take, but he didn't understand most of the words he said. He never really had much idea what Christianity stood for until in his later years. He took his family to churches of various Protestant denominations, but he never insisted on his children belonging to one religion or another. Currently, one daughter is an atheist, and one is a practicing Jew, having married a Jewish husband. They were free to find their own religious pathways. In recent years, he discovered that the core belief system for a Christian is contained in the Gospel of John in the Bible. The author of John was the only writer of the four included gospels who believed that Jesus was God in human form. That belief, it seems to Ralph, is the core idea that one must "believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior." That was never mentioned in any of his father's sermons, most of which he heard from his earliest days. But that seems to be the key belief which separates the Christian from the non-Christian. All other religions have had originators who wrote their primary texts, but none of them insist that their originator was God in human form. They were spiritually advanced humans who communicated with a supreme spiritual being they called God by one name or another. After listening to Charity, who has been around since long before Jesus was born, Ralph does not believe that Jesus was God in human form. Therefore, he is not a Christian. But he has heard enough from Charity to understand why humans have come to hold some beliefs as a result of what Jesus and others in the religions founded in his name have experienced. No Virgin Birth Charity teaches that there was no virgin birth of Jesus. He was born in the usual way as a result of normal mating between his mother, Mary, and his father, Joseph. They were a loving young couple, who were chosen by their Spiritual Guardian CIE to be the parents of this special child.
Jesus in His Last Lifetime The child was born into his last incarnation, and his Life Plan was to become the symbol of eternal life by the Jews, into whose culture he was born. He was born to give hope for survival to the Jews who were seriously threatened with extinction by a ruthless Roman government. His Life Plan included being executed on a cross by Roman soldiers whose leaders were sure he was planning to lead a new civil government for the Jews. Jesus Controlled by His CIE During the last three years of his life, from age 30 to 33, Jesus was totally controlled by the CIE in charge of his existence. The CIE prevented him from ever using his own Personality's Free Will to Mess Up. There was no room for error in the plan which had been laid out by The Creator. But, in those days, there were no videotape recorders to record exactly what Jesus said or did at the time. The only writings were made decades later by observers, at best, and no one today would take such late recordings as reliably accurate reports of what was said and done. Whatever he did actually say and do during those three years of his ministry were done according to a script laid down by The Creator and supervised by his CIE. There were no mistakes made at the time. Judas, the Betrayer Among his 12 disciples was one called Judas of Iscariot. His origin is obscure, and, after the crucifixion, he disappeared. Since the CIE in Jesus were able to know every thought of every human's mind, there is no way a human named Judas could have been a secret plotter against Jesus and not be known to Jesus. Charity teaches that Judas was not a human. He was a hologram created by The Creator to play the role of betrayer. This drama needed to have a betrayer, but no human could actually do it. So the CIE created Judas as a hologram, one who stayed on the sidelines of the group of disciples, and then disappeared when his betrayer role had been played. He didn't commit suicide, as he was never in human flesh.. He was discontinued by the CIE when he had finished his role playing. In human terms, they pulled the plug from his power source. Jesus in the Tomb After the crucifixion, Jesus' body was placed in a tomb. On the third day, several women found the body had disappeared. All bodies disintegrate in a certain way over time. The CIE, in the case of Jesus, massively sped up that process so that the natural disintegration process was completed by the third day. Therefore, there was no bodily structure to be found in the tomb. Resurrection When Mary Magdalene met Jesus next, apparently resurrected, what she saw was not a human body, but a hologram, again created by the CIE to continue the planned drama. The physical body had disintegrated. But the witnesses to his resurrection saw an image which looked and talked as Jesus had looked and talked when they had met with him before his crucifixion. This was a created holographic image which the CIE were fully capable of putting together. Example When Ralph was in the last year of his marriage, he scheduled a flight to Orlando, Florida, to give a workshop on treatment of MPD. Mitzi, his angry wife, drove him to the San Luis Obispo airport, where she dropped him off with a few choice insults as he got out of the car. After checking his bag, he sat in the lobby awaiting his turn to go through the security gate to board his plane to the Los Angles airport. Looking through the security gate, he saw an attractive woman in a gray suit and
pill box hat sitting by the far window. She had no luggage with her. She looked similar to pictures of Jacqueline Kennedy, and he thought, "She is one classy lady." He thought she must be the wife of a vice president of some local company. The one odd thing about her was that she had no eyes, only black ovals like those drawn in the Orphan Annie comic strip. He passed through the security gate, but she was not with the crowd waiting to board the airplane to Los Angeles. When he left Los Angeles for Orlando, she was not in the boarding crowd, either. But when he left the airplane for the luggage area at the Orlando airport, she was right beside him on the "people mover" conveyer belt that carried everyone to the luggage area. She started talking to Ralph while on the people mover, saying she was headed for Houston to get her great aunt. He wondered why she was in Orlando if she was going to Houston, but he didn't say anything. His code was not to talk to strange women in airports. She also was now carrying several pieces of luggage, saying that her luggage had been stolen the last time she had flown, so now she carried it. The people mover brought them to where they had to take a right turn down into the area where the luggage would come from the airplane. For a moment Ralph looked at her face. She then smiled the most beatific smile he had ever seen, and he was immediately and completely in love with her. They then walked together to wait for the luggage to arrive, and she put her pieces of luggage on the floor beside him. She then asked Ralph, "Would you watch my bags while I find an attendant?' This was odd to Ralph as the usual time to find an attendant was after the luggage came down the chute and yours was not among them, and most likely lost. That was the last time he saw her. When his luggage arrived, he turned to leave and found that none of her bags were there at his feet, where she had left them. They had disappeared. He walked out to the ticket booth to buy a ticket for the bus to his hotel. Everyone leaving that airport had to buy a bus ticket to get anywhere. When he arrived at the front of the line, the computer in the ticket booth malfunctioned, and the frantic young lady inside called for someone to get her computer working. During that time, about 30 other passengers lined up behind him to get bus tickets. He looked them over and could not find the Classy Lady. When the computer was again running, he purchased his ticket and boarded the bus. At his hotel, he went to the reception desk and filled out his registration card. Then the phone rang at the desk. The clerk answered it and then turned to Ralph, saying, "Dr. Allison, this call is for you." Ralph took the phone and heard Charity on the line. He told her that he had met this lovely woman at the airport. Charity asked him, "Did you talk to her?" He said, "No, I didn't." Charity said, "Ralph, that was ourselves. We were trying to get you curious enough to get into a conversation with us. But you would not do so. We wanted to give you an experience which would make you happy this week, so that your presentation would go over well." What Ralph had seen was a hologram of a Classy Lady, made by Charity, designed to please him, and it did. All week long, he reveled in his fantasies of being with this fascinating, gorgeous, classy, sexy woman. Charity later warned him never to compare live human females with her, as she was what Charity knew was Ralph's ideal traveling companion. Any real female would fail to equal the perfection of the vision he saw when he met the Classy Lady.
Darwinian Evolution v. Intelligent Design Charles Darwin is credited with the discovery of the "scientific" theory of evolution now being taught in your schools. He is now a part of the Great Teacher. Charity reports that, while close to death, Darwin realized that his conclusions were incorrect. He wished to change his opinions, but he was too ill to do so before he died. He is not now in favor of the interpretations of his research which have become the scientific view of how physical organisms came to be as they are today. Charity has been consistent in her teachings that, when something needs to be created, The Creator creates it. Simple as that. Everything in Physicalspace was created by forces from Thoughtspace. One example is a type of iron eating bacteria which is digesting the iron ships in the Atlantic Ocean. These ships sank in the shipping lanes, and there is no human device which can move them to where they will not endanger the present ocean liners who pass that way. So The Creator created a type of bacteria which require iron in their diet and placed them on those ships to digest and destroy them. That way they will be removed and no longer be a danger to other ships. There were no predecessor bacteria from whom they could evolve by natural selection or any other method dependent on physical beings. It appears that proponents of Intelligent Design still hold The Holy Bible as a source of information regarding an alternative theory they call Intelligent Design. Charity refers to The Holy Bible as "The Book," and she has no reverence for it as a source of knowledge. She knows it was written by humans, so it reflects the opinions, ideas, and knowledge of those humans, and nothing more. The Creator did not create it and is continuing to give information to us humans through the CIE and the Essence of each human. When Ralph questioned her about the moral authority of the Pope of the Roman Catholic Church, she asked, "Oh, you mean the preacher who sits in the big chair and wears a dress?" The evolution which Charity constantly mentions is the spiritual development of each Personality, not the physical aspects of Physicalspace. As each of you experience an incarnation, you are wiser and more spiritually advanced. It is a slow process, but all humans are progressing, at the rate they are willing to pursue. At this time, The Creator has decided to stop splintering off any more new Baby Personalities, so all here now will mature, incarnation after incarnation. This means that eventually all Personalities will have completed Survival Training. Then those last ones to come along will all be preachers. When there are no more Personalities who feel drawn to becoming preachers, there will be no one to operate the churches. So the churches will have no humans who are willing to run the organizations who operate them. So the churches will eventually cease to function. Karma Karma is a reality which Charity repeatedly discusses. In terms of time, there are three varieties of karma — immediate, within one lifetime, and over several lifetimes. The immediate variety is illustrated by any reaction to an action, such as hitting someone and having them hit back. This is the tit for tat experience all humans face and eventually learn to avoid. The karma which can be settled in one lifetime is where the event may occur early, and the settlement of the debt can be accomplished within the same lifetime. So that his karmic debts will not spill over into his next, and last, lifetime, the CIE have given Ralph a number of such experiences, where the final story has been told while he is still in this lifetime.
Example Ralph has never been an athletically talented person. Charity told him that he was deliberately designed to be physically uncoordinated. In grade school, he was never wanted on the baseball team. He flunked out of the YMCA tumbling class at age 13. When in junior high school, he spent his physical education classes tossing a football to another similarly uncoordinated boy, while the other children played on sports teams. Charity told Ralph he was made this way to keep him from going into professional sports. He was given a tall frame and large body so he could be impressive as an adult while talking to groups about these controversial ideas. But, if he had been athletically talented, he would have gone into professional sports and not done what his Life Plan required – to learn from Charity and pass on her information to other humans. In the eighth grade of junior high school, while tossing the football, he was repeatedly harassed by another boy, one who was short and overweight. This fat boy was just plain mean, as far as Ralph could tell. During that year of repeated harassment, Ralph decided that, when he was tall and big enough, he would kill that other boy. He meant it. The fat boy did not show up when Ralph entered high school the next year. But Ralph never forgot him and his desire to kill him. Ralph graduated from that high school and then went to Occidental College as a pre-med student for four years. Then he was accepted to UCLA School of Medicine. During the first week of orientation there, he met a young lady he had known in high school. He was orienting to the UCLA medical library, and she was in graduate school learning to become a professional librarian. She asked him if he remembered the fat boy from junior high school. She told Ralph that this boy was now a student with them at UCLA. She asked Ralph if he wanted to meet him. Ralph surely did, as this would give him a chance to get his revenge. He was now tall and lanky and capable of taking revenge on anyone shorter than him. But when he met the young man, he found him still short, but much trimmer. He told Ralph that, at the time they were in the eighth grade together, his parents were in the middle of a nasty divorce, and he was miserable. They had then moved out of state, so he had not gone to high school with Ralph and his friends. When he left high school, he joined the US Navy, but he had been given a psychiatric discharge, due to his many emotional problems. After that he had received effective therapy and had straightened himself out. After listening to his story, Ralph changed his mind about killing that fat boy, now a trim graduate student. He felt sorry for him instead of revengeful. In the eighth grade, he had had no idea the boy was having such a hard time, only that he was giving him, Ralph, a hard time. By the time the meeting was over, Ralph felt sorry for the fellow and gave up his desire and plans for killing him. That terminated Ralph's karmic debt for having murderous feelings toward this boy. ---------------------------- Payback of karmic debts between incarnations is common, but not obvious to the humans involved. One common type is when Nazi concentration camp commanders and guards reincarnate as modern day Jews living in Israel. Another example has been when Army officers involved in the Indian Wars reincarnate as modern Native Americans. It is common for members of an abusive group
who have stomped on the rights of another group to reincarnate as members of that oppressed group. They then get the message as to what it is like to be a member of an oppressed group of humans. Example Ralph's wife, Mitzi, was specifically picked by the CIE for him, so that she could pay back her karmic debts to her own mother. In their last lifetimes, the roles had been reversed, with Mitzi then being the mother, and her present mother being her daughter. Mitzi had then been an abusive and angry mother who literally tortured her daughter. So the CIE arranged for their relationship to be reversed in this lifetime. But they also wanted to give Mitzi the chance to come to terms with her mother and stop the battle altogether. To do this, they picked Ralph, who had the ability to provide Mitzi with a stable home and family, from which she could safely conduct negotiations with her present mother and come to a peaceful resolution of their differences. Unfortunately, Mitzi did not take advantage of this opportunity. When her mother died, she still hated the lady, and then she turned the hatred elsewhere, mainly on Ralph, whom she knew would not hurt her. But she never forgave her mother for the insults and injuries of her youth, and she has never forgiven anyone else for whatever she holds them responsible for. Charity has told Ralph that Mitzi will be given as many lifetimes as it takes to encounter her mother again and again, until she does end the conflict and arrive at a settlement both of them can accept. Charity has the ability to offer lifetime after lifetime until the human gets it right. Overpopulation The above example is one reason the world is getting overpopulated. The Creator planned for all Master Life Plans to interconnect, and He also knows there are finite resources on this planet. If all of the humans follow their Life Plans, they will not overpopulate the globe. But, when so many of them exercise Free Will to Mess Up and do not pay off their karmic debts as soon as possible, they will have to lead more lifetimes than they were scheduled for. For each lifetime, there has to be another body created, and it needs clothing, food, and shelter. Each extra body created for this purpose is an added drain on the resources of our globe. So the best way for us to slow the population growth is not through limiting the number of children allowed each mother but to pay off our karmic debts in the first possible lifetime. We should not wait until we can get around to it, sometime. Fertility Clinics Charity does not favor the use of fertility clinics any more that she favors elective abortions. She wants us to use the normal, natural ways of breeding children. If a mother is meant to get pregnant by a certain man, she will get pregnant. If a woman is not meant to get pregnant in this lifetime, no one owes her a child, just because her neighbor ladies have children. Charity would prefer that the use of fertility clinics be banned. When they create a fetus from the donated eggs and/or sperm, that means the CIE have to find an available Essence and Personality for it. Such may not be easy to find, as all are already assigned to some future body. When a baby is born on such an assembly line, the CIE may have to bring an Essence out of training before it is fully ready. Such babies are then likely to have major health or mental problems, as they were not adequately prepared for such a life. Such a life includes being the child of a mother whose Life Plan did not include her having children or being a mother at all. One can imagine what kind of a childhood it would be to be the child of a woman who is not temperamentally capable of being the mother of any children.
Example The judge assigned to try Kenneth Bianchi for the murder of two women in Bellingham, Washington, appointed Ralph as one of his psychiatric examiners for the trial. Kenneth later confessed to being one of the two Los Angeles Hillside Stranglers as well. During his evaluation, Ralph learned that Kenneth was born to a destitute, alcoholic woman who sold him to Mrs. Bianchi after his birth. Mrs. Bianchi came from an Italian family in which all her sisters had several children, and she had none. Her Life Plan did not include her having any children. She had tried to take in foster children, but the agency refused to send her any more. She tried to adopt, but the adoption agency refused to let her do so. Such was her record. She literally bought Kenneth from his mother and raised him herself Her behavior was so toxic Kenneth grew up to hate women and to believe they were only good for sex and killing. That is what he did with them, in Los Angeles and Bellingham. He and his cousin were finally convicted and imprisoned for the serial rapes and murders of five women in Los Angeles. Kenneth alone was convicted of the rapes and murders of the two women in Bellingham. Schizophrenia Schizophrenia, in its several different forms, is the diagnosis of most humans who are considered psychotic in their culture. It is often diagnosed in those humans who hear a voice inside their head telling them fantastic things. They then believe these statements and act as if they are true. Since they are not true, these humans are thought to be out of touch with the reality of those around them, and therefore psychotic. We Essences talk to our assigned charges, the Personalities we supervise, as a "still, small voice within." That is our normal way of directing the actions of the Personality we are mentoring. We can yell loudly, but we usually reserve that tone of voice for a severe emergency, such as a suicidal intent by the Personality, when we must get his attention. Charity teaches that one form of schizophrenia is when the Essence is telling the Personality that he is something he is not, giving him false information which he believes to be true. His psychiatrist calls this a paranoid delusion, one hallmark of schizophrenia. The Essence doing this is dissatisfied with his assignment to this particular Personality and wants the CIE to assign him one with better qualities. But the CIE will not do that. They make the proper assignment of Personalities to Essences, and they will not cede to the wishes of a Dissatisfied Essence. So what is a Dissatisfied Essence to do to get his way? He starts doing his job incorrectly, in hopes that the supervisory CIE will remove him from his assignment and transfer him to a different Personality. One way to do that is to tell his personality he is an eight star general of the armies of all the nations in the Western Hemisphere. Ralph saw this demonstrated during his psychiatric residency year at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Menlo Park, California. One patient always carried a briefcase on which were printed eight gold stars and the words "General of the Armies" followed by the names of most of the countries in North and South America. This is what he was hearing from his Essence on a daily basis. The antipsychotic drugs primarily block the transmission of messages from the Essence to his Personality. While taking the drugs, he does not hear his Essence telling him false statements, and he is considered in remission. But as soon as he stops taking the medicine, the voice resumes, and he has relapsed.
An Essence sending false messages to his charge is failing, in a basic duty, which is to give proper guidance to his charge in handling daily activities. Now the Personality has no script to follow and does not know what to do. Such behavior by the Essence will lead to apathy, lack of direction, no goal setting, and a lack of interest in social activities on the part of that Personality. If such a patient is hospitalized, the nurses give him instructions as to daily activities, which he can follow, as he has no one inside giving him contrary instructions. Example #1 When Ralph was in his first year of psychiatric residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital (VAH) in Menlo Park, a new hospital opened next to the Stanford Medical Center, the Palo Alto VA Hospital. Ralph was the first psychiatrist to move his ward of psychotic patients to the new hospital. These patients were housed in Wards 17 A & B, the back wards of the Menlo Park VAH Clinically, they were the worst of the worst. The new hospital had an auditorium with a stage, and Jim [not his true name], a part-time Drama Therapist (who ran a little theater in San Jose) suggested to Ralph that he, Jim, use Ralph's patients to put on a show on stage to welcome the next group of patients when they came to the new hospital. Ralph told Jim he thought he was out of his mind. These patients of his were all psychotic. How could they possibly put on a stage show? But Jim was persistent, and Ralph finally let him have his way. When the next group of patients moved into the new hospital, they went into the auditorium to watch the show. Ralph sat with them, not knowing what to expect. He then saw his chronically mentally ill patients singing and dancing in a vaudeville show and doing as well as any amateurs might perform. One sang like Al Jolson, and one did a Jimmy Durante imitation. Ralph realized that Jim, an artistic director, had given these men a new script to follow. Ralph and the nurses had been expecting them to act like crazy people, and, having no better instructions from their Essences, they had followed that script. Now Jim had given them a different script to follow, and they did that just as well. If Jim wanted a patient with no internal script to act like Al Jolson, then Al Jolson he would act like. Simple as that. Ralph realized that he had been giving all his patients the wrong script. Example #2 There was one young man Ralph treated for his schizophrenic psychosis in a long term psychiatric hospital. He was completely dominated by his internal voices and stayed in bed most of the time. His Dissatisfied Essence was obviously doing his best to get a rise out of the CIE. But the CIE intervened in a different way. One of the women working as an aide in that hospital also owned a small restaurant with her husband. She befriended this young psychotic human and eventually invited him to live with her family and work as a dish washer in their restaurant. He became a beloved member of her family, with a role to play in their business. Apparently his Essence changed his mind about this being a bad assignment and stopped saying crazy things to his Personality. When he recovered, he told Ralph that, when in bed in the hospital, the voices were so loud and hectic that he couldn't hear Ralph talk to him at the bedside. But when he was welcomed into a loving home by this young family, the voices calmed down and eventually stopped. His Essence had seen the light and decided to do what he was expected by the CIE to do.
International Issues All of these comments have been made about humans on a personal level, as that is where we must start. But the CIE have a great deal of interest in how towns and cities operate as social groups and how nations operate. They are in favor of the Prime Directive of Star Trek: "Do not interfere in the internal affairs of any other culture." They believe that all cultures, being different in history and nature, must solve their own internal problems. There is no other culture which has the wisdom to apply its principles in solving the problems of another culture. They also see now a difference of opinion by different groups of humans as to whether or not humans can "own" the earth they live on. One group, including Hawaiians and Native Americans, say that The Creator owns all the land, and humans only borrow it for a while. Europeans say that humans own the land, and that belief has led to many border disputes, wars for empire building, and battles between nation states. But one country, Tibet, has gone a different way. After the Chinese army invaded Tibet, the Dalai Lama and his supporters moved to a town in India. Tibet still lives on in the hearts and minds of all who consider themselves Tibetans, and that is something which is agreeable to Charity. She sees Tibet as the first nation to exist in spirit, not in land holdings. When Tibet was a piece of land, very few outsiders were allowed to visit there, and few knew much about what they stood for. But after losing their land, they became known world wide and now the Tibetans have a much greater positive influence on the rest of the world than they ever had before. Such is the way to go, according to Charity. So the wish of Charity and The Creator is for you humans to consider the world a place in which you have been granted a time to stay, grow and prosper. No one can own it, but you are all welcome to visit it for as long as your Life Plans require you to be here. It will be here forever, but you will be moving on with each incarnation to another sort of life. What that life style will be is not possible for anyone now to know. But things will not stay the same. As we learn and mature, we come to need new environments and new associates. Right now all we can know is what we have. What we choose to become is what we will become. The End
